Description Presidential election campaign is under way in the United States. Traditionally the most active debates start closer to the elections but political debates and struggle begin earlier, often already during the second term of the administration. The reason for that is that political struggle in the US has become more complicated; both parties lack charismatic leaders, and programs of the Democratic and Republican parties look very similar, concentrating on American dominance/global leadership, military power, expansion of NATO, deterrence of any opposition to American plans. One of the candidates of the Republican Party is John Ellis Bush (Jeb Bush) who belongs to the Bush “presidential family”. He has a very impressive team of consultants, strong financial support, is very experienced in American politics. In his election speeches he promises economic growth, is ready to fight terrorism, plans to work closer with transatlantic allies, supports growth of American military power, is resolute to deter any country or force opposing the US, naming Russia as one of the focuses of such policy. It is too early to say whether Jeb Bush can win the elections, as well as any other candidate. However, any outcome of presidential elections in November 2016 does not promise radical change of American policy, especially toward Russia.
В США полным ходом идет предвыборная кампания по выборам президента, которые должны состояться в ноябре 2016 года. Она началась уже в 2015 году, хотя по традиции активные дебаты обычно проходят в год выборов. Политическая борьба усложнилась, обе партии испытывают дефицит харизматических лидеров, нелегко развести программы Демократической и Республиканской партий в условиях заметного сближения идейного обеспечения их внутри- и внешнеполитической программ. Один из кандидатов от Республиканской партии - Джон Эллис Буш, младший брат Джорджа Буша-мл. У него мощная команда советников, хорошая финансовая база, неплохой опыт политической деятельности. В своих выступлениях он уделяет основное внимание вопросам борьбы с терроризмом, безопасности США, наращиванию военной мощи, обещает усилить взаимодействие с европейскими союзниками, намерен продолжить политику по распространению демократии и сдерживанию оппонентов Америки, среди которых называется Россия. Говорить о победе Джеба Буша рано, но независимо от того, кто выиграет выборы, можно ожидать продолжения политики США в том формате, который мы наблюдаем, начиная с 2001 года.
