After the victory of Barak Obama in 2012 when he was supported by 55% of the women-voters, the Republican Party stated in its concluding report: “We need to work out our new future-oriented position to convince female voters”. In 2015 Carly Fiorina joined the political realm announcing that female problems were an artificial construct and opposing herself to Hillary Clinton whose agenda based on gender issues was out of date. The phenomenon of Carly Fiorina consists in her program compliance to public needs, when she can offer the electorate not only a fresh image of a conservative woman, but also a new type of a right leader arising from business community and having “clear understanding of economic processes” and “success formula for the nation”.
После победы в 2012 году Барака Обамы, которого поддержали 55% избирательниц-женщин, в итоговом докладе Республиканской партии был сделан вывод: «Нам нужно выработать ориентированную на будущее позицию, чтобы убедить женщин». В 2015 году появилась Карли Фиорина, объявившая женские проблемы искусственным конструктом и противопоставившая себя Хиллари Клинтон, чья гендерная повестка устарела. Феномен Карли Фиорины заключается в том, что она соответствовала запросу, преподнося электорату не только свежий образ консервативной женщины, но и новый тип правого лидера, идущего из бизнеса со своими «ясными представлениями об экономических процессах» и «рецептами для страны». |
