Purpose: to evaluate the effect of levoflaxacin 0.5% eye drops/Signicef® (Promed Exports, India) for prevention of infectious complications following ocular traumas and intraocular surgery as well as infectious disorders treatment.Methods: In retrospective analysis were included 102 cases of different ophthalmic pathologies following intraocular surgery, i.e., phacoemulsification (27 cases), extracapsular cataract extraction (40 cases), intravitreal injection/IVt of Lucentis (23 cases), abscess/phlegmon drainage (3 cases). Levofloxacin 0.5% (Signicef® Eye Drops) was prescribed according to a scheme before and following ocular surgery for prevention and treatment of infectious complications.Results: No infectious complications following eye surgery or IVt were observed.Conclusion: Signicef® use as antibacterial mono-medication is reasonable and sufficient for prevention of post-op infectiouscomplications as well as ocular traumas and infectious corneal disorders treatment.
Цель. Определение эффективности 0,5% левофлоксацина в виде глазных капель Сигницеф (Промед Экспортс, Индия) для профилактики инфекционных осложнений при травмах глаза, различных видах интраокулярной хирургии и при лечении инфекционных заболеваний глаза.Методы. Ретроспективный анализ 102 историй болезни пациентов с различной офтальмопатологией, которым прове- дено хирургическое лечение по поводу факоэмульсификации (27 случаев), экстракапсулярной экстракции катаракты (40 случаев). Интравитреальное введение Луцентиса выполнено 23 пациентам, вскрытие абсцесса/флегмоны проведено у 3 па- циентов. Для профилактики и лечения до и после операции назначали 0,5% левофлоксацина в виде глазных капель Сигни- цеф по схеме.Результаты. Ни в одном случае после хирургического лечения или интравитреальной инъекции не наблюдали осложне- ний инфекционного генеза.Заключение. Применение препарата Сигницеф как антибактериального монопрепарата является оправданным и доста- точным для профилактики инфекционных послеоперационных осложнений, а также для лечения пациентов с травмами глаза и инфекционными поражениями роговицы. |
