Description Whether it is expedient and possible to effectively affect the tumors of the urinary bladder by ionizing irradiation remains urgent not onlydue to a rise in the rate of primary carcinoma at this site, but also to the late diagnosis and high incidence of recurrences after surgical andmultimodality treatment. The paper describes the causes of radiation cystitis in patients after radiotherapy for small pelvic neoplasms andconsiders the currently available methods and technologies for eliminating these causes.
